Don’t miss the beauty of the present. I have heard more than one friend mention to enjoy the journey and to embrace the “now” of the moment. So many times, we want to just get to a desired destination, but there is so much beauty along the way that the Father wants us to embrace.
He wants us to embrace the now.
My sister and I ran a 5K race this weekend. We love to run but we are more like joggers and run at our own pace! 😉 We are not going to be the first across the finish line but we are going to enjoy the run.
The view along the way was beautiful but the course was grueling because a lot of it was very much uphill. I wondered if I would make it to the top, but once I did, the view was incredible. The sunrise. The hills in the distance.
When you get to the top, it seems all worth it as you see the beauty. But God doesn’t want us to miss the beauty of the moment when we are climbing our way to the top.
Even in our weakness, He makes us strong.
Even in our brokenness, He brings beauty.
Even in our sorrows, He will bring joy.
Embrace what the Father is doing within your heart right now. Embrace the present moment with Him. Embrace Him in the waiting. Embrace the beauty that He reflects even in the midst of any darkness or brokenness you may feel.
While the season has now changed to Fall, most of the sunflowers have stopped blooming but this weekend, I noticed one still thriving. Many of the sunflowers were dried up but I couldn’t help to notice the beauty of this one still holding on.

While this may be the only sunflower thriving, I can’t help but to think of the goodness of our Father who reveals life and hope to us in every season.
Maybe you feel like you’re the only one trying to thrive and make it while everyone around you does not understand or everything around you seems dried up. Know this – you are not alone. Your Father is always right there with you. He goes before you. He goes behind you. Even if everything around you appears to be a desert, His living water is flowing through you.
See the beauty in the ashes.
See the beauty in the now. Embrace the now.
Beautiful Mel. A right NOW word!
Sweet word lil sis
So beautifully written my friend and straight from the heart of our Father. Striving is so much apart of our culture and we have sadly carried that into the Kingdom life relationally with God. We cannot blossom, grow and thrive in the Presence if we don’t stop and enjoy this present moment. Thank you for your wise words!
Oh, Mel❤️❤️❤️ That photo speaks volumes, and is such a beautiful backdrop to what you’ve written today. A much needed reminder not to rush through what He’s doing in me right *now*.
Beautiful picture and inspiring words that really fit to my days.
