Let’s Be Renewed

As we start our journey in 2021, I encourage us to move forward with holy expectation, confidence, and hope.

As I shared last week, He makes all things new. No matter how long we may have endured hardship, He can make us new.

No matter how long we have been stuck in shame, He can make us new. No matter how long we have been trapped in negative thought patterns, He can make us new.

He can take the old and make something new and beautiful. He can take the bad and turn it into something good. He can renew us. He can renew our minds. He can renew our hearts. He can renew this land.

Titus 3 speaks such truth of our Savior’s renewing power.

But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy.

He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that, having been justified by His grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life.

Titus 3:4-7

The Father saved us not because of the righteous things we have done but simply out of His kindness and love. Because of the generous love of our Father, we have a Holy Spirit who renews us and Christ who gives us hope.

I think we all were taken by surprise when 2020 unfolded the way it did, but there is so much we can learn from it. I know this past year has allowed me to experience and take hold of the love and kindness of the Father like never before.

And despite how difficult it has been, I truly believe it makes for good soil. May we see the growth unfold in this new year.

Friend, my heart holds hope for us as we journey into 2021. Will we still have trouble? Yes, Jesus reminds us of that but no matter what, He has overcome the world. Take heart! Let’s be renewed in growth.

He will renew and rebuild. If our foundation is built on Jesus, we are going to experience the rebuilding of something strong and beautiful.

The Father can rebuild us this very day. He can rebuild us. He can rebuild hope. He can rebuild our thoughts. He can rebuild relationships. He can rebuild and renew.

I truly believe we find freedom and hope when we allow Him to renew our minds. Romans 12:2.

Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.

Romans 12:2

It is a verse that we talk about so much but when we truly walk this verse out, we see the power. When we give our minds to Him and allow our thoughts to be renewed, we become transformed.

Simply renewing our thoughts in 2021 can make a significant impact on our journey.

May we be renewed in the days ahead! I am cheering you on, friend. Let’s be renewed!

  1. Thank you for this reminder. It is refreshing to think about how many ways we can experience renewal, and personally, where I need it. Renewed in 2021!
