Lost in His Wonder

One day last week as I was driving before dawn, I couldn’t help but pause at the wonder of the clouds. On this particular morning, there seemed to be a glimpse of spring in the air which for me, brings hope. At first glance, the clouds looked like mountains in the distance.

I simply told the Father I was listening and wanted to hear whatever the Holy Spirit had to say to me that day.

Our Creator speaks to us in many ways and one of my favorites is how He speaks through the beauty and wonder of what He has created – the mountains, the fields, the sky, the stars, sunrises, sunsets, and the clouds.

Looking at those clouds before the start of my day, I just wanted to get lost in the clouds, to get lost in His wonder.

I believe that in spite of life’s responsibilities, we can pause and take moments throughout our day to choose to get lost in His wonder. Embrace what He wants to share with us.

Clouds take shape differently each day. I love that. It’s a beautiful reminder that every new day can be different. While I am not the most adventurous, I long for newness and wonder to transform ordinary days into something meaningful.

Every new day, we can allow the Father to shape our day. He is the Potter that has molded and shaped us. Let’s allow Him to shape our day with hope. With love. With peace. With anticipation. With wonder.

We can trust that our Creator can shape the most ordinary of days into something extraordinary.

Pause. Reflect. Allow the love of the Father to captivate your heart. Just as the clouds cover the sky, Jesus covers us. He’s our shelter. He’s our security. He’s our hope.

Those clouds that looked like mountains before dawn last week brought me hope.

Friends, let’s get lost in His wonder. He will shape your day perfectly and He will cover you every step of the way.

The mountains you climb, He covers you with hope. The valleys you endure, He covers you with hope. On the ordinary days, He covers you.

Just as the clouds take shape in the sky, allow the Father to shape your day and trust Him in the unfolding.

Today, pause and get lost in His wonder.

  1. Yes!!!! I’ve been thinking a lot about how we can see God everywhere if we just take the time to stop and really “see.” And love the clouds!!! A fave of mine! Love this sis! Thanks for taking the time to speak Hope into the midst of what we may think is an ordinary week that God can truly make extraordinary!

  2. Thank you, Mel. I’ve been needing to refocus and regain some of this wonder, so this is a timely reminder. ♥️
