Something I find so special and sacred is that only the Father can truly see my heart. Even when we are real to others as we share our stories, the One within us – our Creator and Savior – is the only One who truly sees our entire heart, the complete picture. Even when we share a story with someone, only the Father knows every detail. He is the Creator of our stories. And isn’t that a sacred and beautiful thing?
He is writing your story moment by moment.
Every detail matters.
Every moment matters.
And while your Creator is writing your story, He also invites you on the journey to write your story with Him.
Throughout our stories, we have to make decisions. We have to make choices and the beautiful thing is – our Creator designed us to have freedom to choose.
We have the freedom to make the choices that please the Father rather than man. We have the freedom to choose to speak good things about ourselves rather than putting ourselves down. We have the freedom to get back up when we fall. We have the freedom to laugh at ourselves and not take things so seriously when we mess up. We have the freedom to be ourselves rather than confining ourselves to the comparison trap. We have the freedom to dream and the freedom to sing at the top of our lungs whether we have the melody or not.
Parts of my story are far from perfection. Pages of my story could have been better had I loved myself more. But how I love the grace that our Creator shows us and allows us to rewrite our stories. He gives us a new story. No, we can’t just rip out some of those ugly pages because they make up our story, but we can allow Jesus to write an entirely new chapter that will eventually lead to a transforming ending.
We have the freedom in Jesus to choose to walk with Him as our story is written moment by moment. No matter what decision we make and the direction we choose to go, Jesus is there for the entire story. He is there for the messy, the broken times, and even the ugly. Even in the times we don’t see it, Jesus is making our story into something beautiful.
I love books, anyone else? I realize not everyone likes to read but you’re here for the blog, so thank you!
I can get lost in a book and be inspired by the stories shared. Maybe it’s not stories from a book but stories shared over coffee or tea with a friend that inspire you. Maybe you’re inspired by the stories shared by whoever is sitting across you as you give them the space to be real and share their story. I’m inspired by both as our unique stories unfold.
I got a children’s book for one of my dear friend’s daughter who is celebrating her first birthday this month and of course I had to read the story before wrapping it! It was a story about all these different animals who were unique and were all invited to the party. While they were all different and had their flaws, they were all invited and had a place. They were all part of the story. We too, friends, are all part of the story. Our Creator takes all of our stories and connects us together in beautiful ways.
And every story is rooted somewhere. Our stories are unique but as we continue our stories, may they always be rooted in Jesus.
With Jesus rooted in our stories, life and hope fills the pages of our heart.
He is interweaving stories together as you find those trusted friends you can be real with. And for every detail dwelling deep within your heart, your Savior knows your story. He takes you by the hand and reminds you that every story matters.
He hears and knows your heart.
Jesus is rooted in every story. The One who knows every detail that dwells deep within is writing the pages of your heart.
Every detail matters, and every story matters. Thank you for that, Mel!♥️
