I need to laugh. Maybe you, too? Laughter is good medicine for our soul, so today, let’s laugh!
Sometimes I make mistakes and sometimes I want to rethink my choices. And I am learning that it’s really okay to laugh about it. I am not talking about the choices that require us to really seek the Father in deep prayer but those simple choices like the one I’ll share today.
I decided to put up my Christmas tree early this year to bring some extra cheer which seems to be trending for many others, too.
I thought I would even be different this year and put colored lights on my tree instead of the clear ones I use every year. The box said “multi-colored sparkling lights.” “Sparkling” had my heart and I thought for sure those were the lights for me.
Let’s just say my definition of sparkling is a lot different than whoever marketed the box. I was thinking calm and peaceful. These sparkling lights were having a party.
My choice of the multi-colored sparkling lights just did not turn out like I had expected so the ornaments came off and I took all nine sets of multi-colored sparking lights off of the tree. Nine sets was probably way too much but I wanted it to sparkle!
The tree is still up early though . . . now with calm, clear, white lights.
Some choices we can laugh at! And even some mistakes we make don’t have to bring us down. We can laugh at ourselves and move forward.
A cheerful heart is good medicine.
Proverbs 17:22
Laughter is so good for our soul, and I am glad I was able to laugh this week about my tree being just too much bling for me!
And while my Christmas tree is up early this year, I don’t want to forget to mention Thanksgiving. While this week is Thanksgiving, every single day, we can choose thankfulness.
So friends, let’s choose to be thankful and let’s laugh!
Some choices you can laugh at!
Seriously made me laugh! I can visualize five alarm emergency response vehicles inside of your living room as you try to relax and contemplate! Thank you for sharing!
