When We’re Rooted in Love

Can you picture the one person in your life who is always rooting for you? I can think of one and a few others who have always rooted for me and supported me in my dreams.

These are the people in our lives who cheer us on, encouraging us to keep going and not give up.

Who is rooting for you?

As I ventured into my dreams, a handful of friends encouraged me. As I pursue some dreams that seem bigger than me, I remember that God’s Word says that He will do more than I can think or even imagine. When I go to Scripture, I know Jesus is always rooting for me. And that’s what matters most.

Jesus is your unwavering source of support. He is always ready to encourage you as you take brave steps into the unknown. Jesus stands by your side to celebrate your victories, no matter how small, reminding you that it all matters. In moments of uncertainty, He offers a sense of peace that calms your anxious mind, helping you navigate challenges confidently. During times of joy, He is there to share in your happiness, dancing with you in these special moments.

Whether it’s a few or many who root for you, we all have the greatest One who supports us in every detail of our journeys. In Christ, we have the best counselor, supporter, and friend. It is a life in Christ that roots us in love.

I pray that out of His glorious riches He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge – that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

Romans 3:16-19

Let’s revisit this question: Who is rooting for you? Love is supporting you!

I am deeply grateful for the wonderful people who cheer me on and stand by me. It brings me immense joy to know that the divine presence of God is within me and continually inspires and uplifts me. He encourages us to embrace the love of Christ with others who hold to His love. Together, we can embrace a profound love that transcends our current understanding, expanding our hearts and minds in ways we have yet to discover.

Be rooted in love, and watch opinions fade.

Be rooted in love, and watch rejection unravel.

Be rooted in love, and watch perfection subside.

Not everyone will support you, but don’t let that keep you from moving forward. Our purpose isn’t to please others but to please our Creator, God. Appreciate those who cheer for you, but don’t allow those who don’t distract you from the strength of love. Love them anyway. Encourage them with love.

By supporting one another, we inspire a wave of kindness around us. Remember to support yourself, too. Celebrate your achievements, big and small.

Today, I am rooting for myself to press through what seems bigger than me. What are you hoping to achieve this week? Maybe you need to speak kind words over yourself or spend time talking to Jesus about your hidden dreams. Whatever it may be, I am cheering you on, friend.

  1. Ephesians 3;16-19 …. My Emmaus walk verse so many years ago . Very timely as I step out into a new season of work – rooted & established in love
