The Father always has a seat for you at the table. You’re always invited.

I remember in first or second grade, my sister’s friend invited her to a birthday party. She said she would go but only if she could bring her sister.

So of course I was really excited that my sister got me on the birthday guest list. I don’t remember much about the party but I still remember getting the invite.

The Father invites us every day to sit at the table with Him. Right next to Him.

He saved you a seat at the table. It’s a table of love and peace. It’s a table of expectancy and delight.

He invites every one of us. Everyone is on the invitation list. But not everyone chooses to come and not everyone decides to stay.

The Father has invited us in and He wants us to stay.

For many are invited, but few are chosen.

Matthew 22:14

So friend, no matter what your calendar is looking like, or no matter how your emotions are feeling, accept the invitation to take a seat at His table. And rest. Just rest in the love of the Father.

Seated at His table, He gives you the best seat. He gives you His undivided attention every single time because He wants to hear your heart. He is inviting you to share your truest self with Him.

And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages He might show the incomparable riches of His grace, expressed in His kindness to us in Christ Jesus.

Ephesians 2:6-7

Think about it – you’re seated with Christ. There’s no One better to sit with. We have the best seat!

The Father loves you so much so that He raised you up with Christ and seated you with Him.

You’re never alone. Never not loved. Never rejected. He pours out His love and kindness over you.

As you sit and take a seat at the table with Him, give Him your truest self. Give Him time. Give Him your whole heart. He is not in a hurry. He enjoys your presence just as much as you enjoy His.
